The entire composition is encircled by an outer legend of Chinese ideograms denoting the issuing authority, reign title, and denomination weight standard. The inscription references the Guangxu Emperor's reign and specifies the value as equivalent to one mace and 4.4 candareens. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A coiled five-clawed imperial dragon rendered in high relief occupies the central field, its body curling around a flaming pearl at centre. The dragon's head faces forward with elaborate mane and whiskers rendered in fine detail. Two six-pointed rosette ornaments flank the dragon at the left and right of the field. The circumferential legend in Latin characters reads '33RD YEAR OF KUANG HSU' along the upper arc and 'MANCHURIAN PROVINCES' along the lower arc, separated by the rosettes. The coin's reeded border frames the entire design. |
