正面描述 The obverse bears six large Chinese ideograms arranged in two vertical columns reading right to left, denoting 'Republic of China, Year 38,' with additional characters in the periphery identifying the denomination as '20 Fen' and specifying 'Silver Coin Made in Kweichow Province.' The central legend is enclosed within an ornate beaded or guilloche border that frames the entire face of the coin. The script is rendered in a formal, regular style consistent with official Republican-era Chinese coinage. No effigy or figurative imagery appears; the design is purely typographic and epigraphic in character.

附加信息

Kweichow's silver coinage of 1949 was produced under the Nationalist government even as the Communist advance made large swaths of the province effectively ungovernable. The provincial mint operated with diminishing authority and supply chains throughout that year, and silver issues from this period were struck in limited quantities before Chiang Kai-shek's administration collapsed entirely on the mainland.

L&M#616 is among the scarcer provincial denominations from this final Nationalist phase — not a heavily counterfeited type, but one where authentication of silver content matters given the monetary chaos of the period.
