| Obverse description | An owl perched upon a branch is depicted in detailed relief, gazing downward with attentive stillness, evoking the bird's legendary patience and hunting acuity. The design is rendered in a naturalistic style with careful attention to feather texture and posture. The legend REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH arcs around the upper field, with the denomination 20 EURO and the split date 20 21 inscribed in the lower field. |

| Additional information |
Part of the Austrian Mint's long-running "Enchanted Crystals" series, this piece incorporates Swarovski crystals — a collaboration that reflects both companies' shared Austrian commercial identity rather than any numismatic tradition. Swarovski's headquarters in Wattens, Tyrol, sits roughly 200 kilometers from the Vienna Mint. The pairing is a marketing arrangement, not an accident of geography, though it has produced a consistent collector following since the series launched in 2014.
Legal tender status notwithstanding, pieces from this series are essentially never released into circulation.
