Obverse description Faithful reproduction of the obverse of a Visigothic tremissis struck in the name of King Leovigildo at the Toledo mint. The central field features the stylized royal effigy characteristic of late antique Visigothic coinage, enclosed within an inner beaded border. The surrounding legend, rendered in degraded Latin, carries the name of the issuer, the face value, the date, and the mint mark. The design faithfully replicates the archaic epigraphic and artistic conventions of the 6th–7th century Visigothic monetary tradition.
