In the foreground, a formally dressed couple — the lady wearing a strapless gown with a pearl necklace and tiara, the gentleman in white-tie evening dress — walk arm in arm as debutantes and their escorts parade behind them. Fireworks or festive decoration appear to the upper right, evoking the celebratory atmosphere of the Opernball.
