| 背面描述 | A large, finely detailed portrait bust of Sebastian Kneipp facing slightly left occupies the left-center of the field, depicted wearing a clerical skullcap (zucchetto), with the engraver's initials 'Ch' incuse below the portrait. To the right of the portrait, five pictograms representing the five pillars of the Kneipp health philosophy — water, exercise, nutrition, medicinal plants, and balance — are arranged vertically in the field. The curved legend '200. GEBURTSTAG SEBASTIAN KNEIPP' runs along the upper left rim, and the dates '1821 – 1897' appear in the lower field below the portrait. |

Issued to mark the 200th anniversary of Kneipp's birth, this coin belongs to Germany's long-running series honoring figures central to German cultural and scientific history. Sebastian Kneipp, a Bavarian priest, developed his hydrotherapy system in the mid-19th century after reportedly curing himself of tuberculosis through cold-water immersion in the Danube — a claim that made him famous across Europe and drew thousands to his clinic in Bad Wörishofen. His methods were controversial among the medical establishment of his time, yet the Kneipp movement eventually became institutionalized, with over 100 officially designated Kneipp health resorts still operating in Germany today.
