Saint-Pierre and Miquelon has no monetary authority of its own — as a French territorial collectivity, it uses the euro and has no legal right to issue coinage. The "patterns" attributed to this territory in the early 2000s were produced by private fantasy die manufacturers, not by any official body, and carry no governmental sanction whatsoever.
