| Ön yüz açıklaması | Central to the obverse is a deeply struck, high-relief architectural ornament inspired by the decorative stonework of the Musée d'Orsay, depicting a large symmetrical floral rosette with acanthus-style foliage and four corner finials in the form of stylised pine cones, all set within a chamfered square cartouche. The cartouche is itself framed by a rectangular border with riveted corner details, evoking the Beaux-Arts ironwork of the former Gare d'Orsay. The legend RÉPUBLIQUE reads vertically on the left margin and FRANÇAISE horizontally across the upper field, with EURO reading vertically on the right margin and the denomination 20 appearing in the lower field below the cartouche. Two mint marks appear at the lower edge of the inner border. |

At centre, a large ornate circular frame — reminiscent of the museum's iconic clock face surround — encloses a dramatic scene featuring a prominent male portrait bust in the foreground, accompanied by a bear sculpture at his side, a standing male figurine playing a flute at left, and a bronze ballerina statue at right, all alluding to works in the museum's collection. The circular frame is flanked by monumental ornamental candelabra with figural mounts in the Neo-Renaissance style. A foliate cartouche at the base of the composition contains the date 2026. The overall design is executed in exceptional multi-plane high relief, showcasing the depth and intricacy of the Monnaie de Paris's craftsmanship. |
