| 裏面の説明 | The central field features a lively, illustrative depiction of Hans, the protagonist of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, striding cheerfully to the right with a bindle slung over his shoulder. He wears period peasant attire including breeches, a loose shirt, neckerchief and a feathered cap. Behind him to the left, rendered in outline style, is a horse; to his right, a goose accompanies a grindstone, referencing the successive trades Hans makes throughout the story. The engraver's monogram appears in the lower right field. The curved legend GRIMMS MÄRCHEN, separated by a decorative lozenge motif, continues with HANS IM GLÜCK along the upper periphery. |

Issued under Germany's ongoing collector silver program, this piece belongs to a series drawing on Grimm fairy tales — a deliberate cultural policy choice that has run parallel to the euro circulation series for years. "Hans im Glück" is the story of a young man who trades down from a lump of gold through a chain of increasingly bad bargains until he ends up with nothing, which he considers the best outcome of all.
The Stuttgart mint struck this under its characteristic "F" mintmark.
