| Obverse description | The obverse depicts three portrait busts of historically significant conductors associated with the Vienna Philharmonic, rendered in high relief against a textured background suggestive of a musical score or architectural element. In the foreground appears a younger, romantically styled figure with flowing hair and period dress, with two further bearded male effigies arranged behind and to the right. To the lower right of the field, the ornate oval monogram emblem of the Vienna Philharmonic is applied in selective gold coloring.
