Liechtenstein has never issued euro coinage for circulation — it is not an EU member and has no formal monetary agreement with the eurozone. These specimen pieces, produced in 2005, exist purely as collector curiosities: fantasy euros struck as if Liechtenstein had adopted the currency, with no legal tender status anywhere. Several small non-EU states produced similar items during the early 2000s euro novelty market.
