Aanvullende informatie

Finland's euro coinage switched to the "second map" reverse — showing only EU member states rather than the full European continent — following the 2004 enlargement, which made the original geographic rendering politically awkward as new members joined without corresponding coin updates. The changeover was staggered across eurozone nations, and Finland completed its transition with the 2007 issue of this type.

Nordic gold, developed specifically for euro coinage, was chosen partly for its resistance to vending machine fraud — its electrical conductivity profile is difficult to replicate cheaply.
