| 背面描述 | The reverse features a stylized representation of the Fontana di Acquaviva, a historic stone fountain of the Castello di Acquaviva, rendered in a modern engraved style with water spouts issuing from a rusticated ashlar wall into a basin below. In the upper left, the legend CASTELLO DI ACQUAVIVA arcs along the rim, with the year 2014 below it and the mint mark R to the left of the fountain. A small heraldic shield of the Castello di Acquaviva appears in the upper right field. The denomination 20 EURO is inscribed prominently at the lower portion of the field, with the legend FONTANA DI ACQUAVIVA above it, and the engraver's signature U. PERNAZZA at the very bottom. |

San Marino issues gold commemoratives almost annually, and most circulate only among collectors — but the Acquaviva castle series draws on one of the republic's genuinely ancient landmarks. The tower at Acquaviva dates to the medieval period and sits within San Marino's smallest castello, one of nine administrative divisions that have governed the republic without interruption since the 14th century.
The .900 fineness follows the standard adopted for San Marino's modern gold program, which resumed in earnest after the republic's 1972 agreement with Italy regulating its coinage rights.
