| Obverse description | Central field features the arms of Angola within a raised circular border: the Portuguese quinas shield (five escutcheons each bearing five bezants arranged in a cross) occupies the left half, while the right half displays an elephant and a zebra in high relief, emblematic of the colony's fauna. The denomination '20$00' appears in large numerals along the lower arc, with the escudo sign incorporated between the figures. The legend 'ANGOLA' arcs boldly across the upper field in raised incuse-style lettering.
