Opmerkingen

Casino scrip of this type occupies an odd legal and numismatic space — issued as a substitute currency redeemable only within the property, it sidestepped certain Nevada Gaming Control Board reporting requirements while keeping money cycling through the tables. Tropicana scrip from the Ramada management period dates to roughly 1979–1989, when Ramada Express held controlling interest before eventually selling off its gaming assets.

Paper scrip was largely phased out across Las Vegas properties by the mid-1990s as electronic tracking systems made chip-based alternatives more auditable. Surviving pieces in unplayed condition are uncommon — most were either redeemed or discarded by cage staff during routine clearouts.
