| 正面描述 | The central field displays the arms of the Republic of Liberia within a beaded inner border: a sailing ship at sea to the left of a tall palm tree, with a rising sun on the horizon and a dove in flight above, a cannon and a plow in the foreground, all enclosed within a wreath of leaves. A scroll above the shield bears the national motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE', and a second scroll below reads 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA'. The circular legend 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' arcs along the upper periphery, with the date '2003' divided across the lower field to either side of the central device. A reeded rim borders the entire design. |

Liberia's Central Bank produced a prolonged series of foreign-market collector coins throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, almost none of which circulated domestically. The country was emerging from the First Liberian Civil War, and hard currency was functionally absent from everyday commerce. These issues were struck entirely for the international numismatic trade, typically by contracted European mints, and were sold well outside Liberia's borders.
KM# 800 falls within a sprawling "First Ladies" subseries that ran across multiple years and denominations, with individual pieces keyed to specific presidential spouses.
