Liberia has issued gold miniatures under the "Protection and Defence" series in bulk quantities destined almost entirely for the souvenir and novelty market rather than circulation. At 0.5 g, the actual gold content is negligible — roughly a thirtieth of a troy ounce — and the KM reference confirms it sits within a sprawling catalog of small-denomination Liberian issues that have little to do with the country's domestic monetary policy.
