Aanvullende informatie

Gemini IV launched June 3, 1965, and carried Ed White on the first American spacewalk — 23 minutes outside the capsule over the southwestern United States and the Pacific. White had to be ordered back inside by commander James McDivitt; he later called it the saddest moment of his life. Liberia's commemorative program of this period produced dozens of such issues for the international collector market, with no domestic circulation intent whatsoever.
