| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Liberia occupies the central field, depicting a three-masted sailing ship approaching a shore, a palm tree to the right, a plow and a spade in the lower foreground, and a rising sun on the horizon, all enclosed within a decorative shield surmounted by a dove in flight.
