Liberia has no meaningful numismatic tradition of its own to draw on here — the country has issued bullion and collector coins through licensing arrangements with European distributors since the 1990s, with little to no connection to Liberian monetary policy or circulation. These pieces are produced for the international collector market, struck almost certainly at a contracted European or Asian mint, and the Liberian authorization is effectively nominal.
