Obverse description Bare-headed left-facing effigy of King George VI after the portrait by T.H. Paget, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The circumferential Latin legend reads GEORGIVS VI D : G : REX ET IND : IMP:, separated by colon stops, with the engraver's initials HP incuse below the truncation. The denomination 20 DOLLARS appears in bold capitals along the lower arc, separated from the portrait by a fine inner beaded border.
