The "Super Incuse" designation refers to a deliberately exaggerated intaglio field depth — a purely aesthetic evolution of the incuse maple leaf motif that the Royal Canadian Mint first introduced on bullion coinage in 2015. Rhodium plating on fine silver serves a practical function here: rhodium's extreme hardness resists the surface micro-abrasions that plague proof silver coins during handling, while its bright finish amplifies the contrast between the recessed design and polished fields.
