Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features a fine bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Edward VII, adapted from George W. de Saulles's original design used on the historic 1908 Canadian Sovereign. The king is depicted with a short trimmed beard and moustache, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The engraver's initials 'DeS.' appear incuse on the truncation of the neck. The circumferential Latin legend reads 'EDWARDVS VII D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:' encircling the upper field, while 'CANADA' appears prominently in the lower field, all within a fine beaded border.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse reproduces Benedetto Pistrucci's celebrated St. George and the Dragon composition, originally created for the 1817 British Sovereign and faithfully replicated here in proof finish. St. George, depicted as a nude classical warrior wearing a crested helmet, is shown mounted on a rearing horse, his sword raised to deliver the killing blow to the dragon writhing beneath the horse's hooves. The denomination '20 DOLLARS' arcs along the upper right field, the date '2018' is prominently displayed in the lower exergue, and Pistrucci's initials 'B.P.' appear to the right of the date. The design is contained within a finely reeded border with no additional legend.
