| Obverse description | The full coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia is displayed centrally in the field, featuring a shield depicting a sailing ship at sea, a palm tree, and a rising sun, with a scroll above bearing the national motto and a dove in flight to either side. The date is divided by the arms, with '20' to the left and '04' to the right. An outer legend reads 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' along the upper periphery and is repeated along the lower periphery, separated by decorative beading.
