The Grace Coolidge issue belongs to that wave, produced almost certainly by a European contract mint with no connection to American political history beyond the licensing agreement.
Grace Coolidge was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously in 1977, three decades after her death — one of the few First Ladies to receive it.
