Reverse description Printed entirely in orange-gold on a cream ground, the reverse is dominated by a central circular vignette of the Great Seal of the United States — the heraldic eagle with shield, olive branch, and arrows — enclosed within a guilloche ring inscribed TWENTY DOLLARS. Symmetrical acanthus-scroll and floral arabesques flank the central medallion, with the numeral 20 in large counters at each side. The denomination panels TWENTY appear in bold letterpress at lower left and right, with GOLD CERTIFICATE in a banner along the lower border.
