Additional information

Singapore's gold bullion program has never commanded the international profile of the Maple Leaf or Krugerrand, which makes survivors in original packaging disproportionately underrepresented in major auction records — not from rarity, but from collector indifference that has since begun to correct itself. The .9999 fineness standard adopted here placed Singapore ahead of most sovereign mints at the time; the Royal Canadian Mint had only introduced four-nines gold with the 1982 Maple Leaf.
