| Obverse description | A highly detailed antique-finish field depicts the Egyptian god Anubis, rendered in full figure standing profile to the left and holding a staff aloft, set against a richly engraved panoramic backdrop featuring the Great Pyramids of Giza, an Egyptian temple colonnade with hieroglyphic reliefs, and rocky cliffs. At centre, an applied shield-shaped inset bears the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau with the legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU and RAINBOW'S END. The denomination 20 DOLLARS appears in the upper field.
