| Obverse description | The central field features the coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia, depicting a sailing ship approaching a shore with a palm tree and a rising sun, surmounted by a scroll bearing the national motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE, and flanked by a plow and a shovel in the lower portion of the shield.
