| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse bears the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch in right-facing profile as a mature portrait at age 77, with bare head, wearing a necklace and drop earrings. The legend ELIZABETH II flanks the upper field, with the abbreviated title D•G•REGINA completing the inscription. The portrait is rendered in fine relief against a plain field, consistent with the standard Royal Canadian Mint obverse used on collector issues of this period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse, designed by Canadian artist Lauren Crawshaw and engraved by Susan Taylor, presents side-by-side colour-enhanced portraits of a bison and a giant panda, representing UNESCO World Heritage Sites Wood Buffalo National Park (Canada) and the Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries (China). At left, a bison is depicted in three-quarter view with its massive, shaggy head lowered toward the viewer, standing on a grassy plain with additional bison rendered in the background. At right, a giant panda is seated in the crook of a tree, shown from its left side with its distinctive black-and-white markings rendered through expert colour application and engraving, with bamboo in the foreground and distant mountains beyond. The two scenes are divided by the curving trunk of the tree on which the panda rests. The legend CANADA 20 DOLLARS 2015 and the designer's initials LC appear within the reverse field. |
