Reverse description The reverse presents a richly coloured naturalistic composition celebrating Canadian wetland fauna and flora. The lower portion of the field is filled with the broad leaves and delicate white blossoms of the broadleaf arrowhead (Sagittaria latifolia), rendered in fine detail. Resting upon a partially submerged floating log at the centre of the composition is a painted turtle (Chrysemys picta), its carapace and markings exquisitely crafted from applied Venetian glass, lending the piece a vivid, jewel-like quality. The reverse legend 20 DOLLARS 2015 MG CANADA is inscribed around the periphery, with the denomination and date flanking the central design.
