Obverse description The obverse presents the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch in right-facing portrait at approximately 77 years of age, bareheaded, wearing a necklace and drop earrings. The effigy is rendered in fine relief against a flat field. The circular legend reads ELIZABETH II to the upper left, CANADA and the date 2020 across the upper field, and D•G•REGINA to the right, with the denomination 20 DOLLARS at the base. All inscriptions appear in Latin characters.
