| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and draped, as sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupying the lower-left quadrant of the field, with the engraver's initials IRB truncated below the portrait. The field behind the effigy is decorated with a large, stylized Egyptian canopic jar or cartouche shape rendered in bold, linear symbolic motifs evoking ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic art, set against a background of concentric circular engine-turned lines.
