The "transition" framing here refers to the 1921–1922 changeover, when the Morgan Dollar was discontinued after a brief resurrection and replaced by the Peace Dollar — itself a politically loaded decision tied to post-WWI sentiment and Treasury pressure to modernize American coinage. The British Virgin Islands had no role in any of that history.
