| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features the fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, depicted in right-facing profile as a mature portrait at age 77, the work of engraver Susan Taylor after Susanna Blunt's design. The Queen is shown bare-headed, wearing a necklace and drop earrings, with fine detail rendered in the facial features and hair. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA, affirming her title by the grace of God, and is positioned along the upper periphery of the field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Part of the RCM's ongoing fine silver nature series, this issue sold out quickly on initial subscriber release — not unusual for the wildlife sub-series, which by 2013 had built a reliable secondary market among thematic collectors in the United States and Japan. The Tiger Swallowtail specifically was chosen as Canada's most widely recognized native butterfly, present across every province.
KM#1436 is occasionally confused with the 2012 Morpho butterfly issue in dealer inventories, as both share the same technical specifications and release format.
