Part of the RCM's long-running "Canadian Iconic Wildlife" fine silver series, this issue draws on a collector market the Mint has cultivated aggressively since the early 2000s. Canada's grizzly population is concentrated in British Columbia, Alberta, and the Yukon — a fact the Mint has leaned on repeatedly to anchor wildlife coins to a sense of geographic specificity without committing to conservation partnerships of any real substance.
