Obverse description The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt occupies the obverse field, depicting the monarch in right-facing portrait at an advanced age, bare-headed, and adorned with a necklace and earrings. The portrait is rendered in fine detail characteristic of the Blunt effigy used on Canadian coinage from 2003 onward.
