Buel, the nineteenth-century American inventor credited with creating the spoon fishing lure, set within an oval frame at the center of the field. The arched legend LEGENDARY LURES appears along the upper border, with JULIO T. BUEL inscribed in a curved banner immediately beneath the portrait. Below, the bold inscriptions THE BUEL SPOON are prominently displayed in the lower field.
