Obverse description The obverse bears the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch in right-facing profile as a mature bust at approximately 77 years of age, uncrowned and unadorned save for a necklace and earrings. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a flat field. The legend arcing around the upper periphery reads ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA, with the denomination 20 DOLLARS positioned along the lower arc. The inscription D·G·REGINA affirms her title as Queen by the Grace of God.
