| 正面描述 | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, bareheaded and wearing a necklace and earrings, as depicted on Canadian coinage from 2003 onward. The legend encircling the effigy reads ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA, with CANADA 2017 and the denomination 20 DOLLARS also inscribed. The portrait captures the Queen at approximately 77 years of age in a dignified, mature presentation. |

Part of the Royal Canadian Mint's ongoing provincial and territorial puzzle series, this issue is one of several interlocking coins designed so that multiple pieces from the set physically fit together edge-to-edge to form a composite image. New Brunswick's entry in the series draws on the province's position as one of the original four Confederation members of 1867.
The .9999 fine silver specification — four-nines purity rather than the more common sterling .925 — reflects the RCM's post-2011 move toward higher-purity collector strikes across most of its numismatic silver program.
