Obverse description The obverse features the uncrowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, as designed by Susanna Blunt, whose initials 'SB' appear on the truncation of the bust. The Queen is depicted wearing a pearl necklace and pearl earring, rendered in fine detail against a mirror-polished field. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the left rim, while 'D·G· REGINA' curves along the right, both in raised Latin lettering. The denomination '20 DOLLARS' does not appear on the obverse of this issue, with the face value instead reserved for the reverse.
