Obverse description The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by engraver Susan Taylor, portraying the Queen in right-facing profile at approximately 77 years of age, bareheaded with a necklace and drop earrings. The portrait is rendered in a refined relief against a frosted proof field, consistent with numismatic proof presentation. The legend arcs around the upper periphery reading ELIZABETH II D•G•REGINA, with the mint date 2004 and the designer's initials SB positioned in the lower field.
