| Reversbeschreibung | Colorized depiction of the Nijubashi Bridge and the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, rendered in fine relief against a radiant sunburst background filling the field. Surrounding the central architectural scene are richly colored chrysanthemum blooms in red, pink, purple, and gold, symbolizing the Imperial chrysanthemum seal of Japan. A green magatama jewel, one of the three Imperial Treasures of Japan, is prominently placed at the top of the design. The Imperial chrysanthemum crest appears in a cartouche at the lower center of the design. The arc legend '3RD ANNIVERSARY OF ENTHRONEMENT OF THE EMPEROR' encircles the upper portion of the reverse, with the fineness mark '.9999' inscribed in the lower field. |

| Zusätzliche Informationen |
The Nijubashi — literally "double bridge" — takes its name from the reflection of the original stone bridge in the water below, creating the illusion of two spans. It serves as the main ceremonial entrance to the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, though public access to the inner grounds remains restricted to New Year's Day and the Emperor's birthday. Cook Islands has made a consistent business of issuing small-format fine gold pieces tied to international landmarks, supplying a collector market that largely never circulates these coins at all.
