| 背面描述 | The reverse features a finely detailed frosted relief depiction of Emil of Lönneberga, the mischievous young protagonist of Astrid Lindgren's beloved children's stories as illustrated by Björn Berg, shown suspended mid-air while clinging to a leafy tree branch with one hand and reaching toward a cluster of berries with the other, his legs outstretched dynamically. The figure wears a cap, a short jacket, and breeches, rendered with expressive characterful detail against a deeply mirror-polished field. The illustrator's copyright credit ©BJÖRN BERG appears in small lettering to the left of the figure, and the legend EMIL I LÖNNEBERGA is inscribed in bold relief along the lower border. |

Niue has operated as a prolific licensing vehicle for commemorative coinage since the 1990s, issuing gold and silver pieces under New Zealand's monetary umbrella that have no connection to local commerce. This piece commemorates Emil of Lönneberga, the mischievous Swedish farmboy created by Astrid Lindgren in 1963 — a character so embedded in Scandinavian childhood that Statistics Sweden once reported "Emil" surging as a given name directly following the books' publication.
Lindgren herself maintained tight control over licensed use of her characters until her death in 2002.
