Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse depicts a dynamic confrontation scene between Superman and Batman, as featured in the 2016 Warner Bros. film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The two iconic DC Comics characters are rendered in detailed relief, with Superman and Batman facing one another in a dramatic, action-oriented composition. The date 2016 appears above the central design, while the inscription FINE SILVER 9999 ARGENT PUR and the face value 20 DOLLARS are distributed along the lower periphery, with the DC Comics logo also present. The design was executed by engraver Susan Taylor and reflects the Royal Canadian Mint's series of collector coins issued in partnership with DC Entertainment.

Aanvullende informatie

Issued in conjunction with the Warner Bros. theatrical release, this was part of the Royal Canadian Mint's aggressive expansion into licensed pop-culture bullion during the mid-2010s — a period when the RCM pursued entertainment tie-ins with the same energy it had previously reserved for wildlife and commemorative series. The coin reached market before the film itself had opened, functioning more as pre-release merchandise than numismatic issue.

Collector resale performance on RCM entertainment licenses has historically tracked the cultural longevity of the property rather than mintage figures.
