正面描述	The entire obverse is rendered in high relief to depict the heavily cratered surface of the Moon, its texture dominating the field. To the left, the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley is set against the lunar landscape, with the engraver's initials IRB visible below the truncation. In the center of the coin, a circular colored glass insert depicts the Apollo 11 lunar module on the Moon's surface with Earth rising in the background.
