| Opmerkingen |
New Zealand switched to polymer for this series starting in 1999, making it an early adopter outside of Australia — where Note Printing Australia had been refining the substrate since the late 1980s. The clear window on polymer issues like this one was a deliberate counter to the sophisticated forgery operations that had targeted the previous paper series during the 1990s.
Three different governor signatures appear across the P#187 run, with Bollard-signed examples dated 2004, 2005, and 2006 being the most frequently encountered in circulation grades.
