| Obverse description | The obverse features the arms of the Republic of Liberia prominently centered in the field: a shield depicting a sailing ship at sea, a palm tree, and a rising sun, surmounted by a scroll bearing the national motto 'THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE' and flanked by a dove and decorative supporters, with a plow and spade below.
