| Obverse description | The central field displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau, depicting Neptune seated with a trident accompanied by a mermaid, surmounted by a traditional Palauan canoe, all within an ornate shield. Eight five-pointed stars are arranged in the field surrounding the arms. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU curves along the upper portion of the inner circle, with the denomination 20$ inscribed below the arms. The broad outer border is rendered entirely in the form of interlocking jigsaw puzzle pieces in relief, with the inscriptions MICROPUZZLE arching across the top and SPECIAL across the bottom of this border zone. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a full-color reproduction of Michelangelo's iconic fresco 'The Creation of Adam' from the Sistine Chapel ceiling, rendered in vivid polychrome enamel and styled to resemble an incomplete jigsaw puzzle, with numerous puzzle pieces depicted as missing or scattered across the composition. The reclining nude figure of Adam occupies the left portion of the field, his left arm extended toward the right, while the robed figure of God the Father, surrounded by angels and draped in a billowing mantle, reaches toward Adam from the right, the two index fingers nearly touching at the centre of the composition. The date 2023 is inscribed in small characters among the puzzle pieces in the upper right area of the field.
