| 裏面の説明 | A detailed portrait bust of Charles Lindbergh facing forward, depicted wearing a leather aviator's helmet and flight goggles pushed up onto his forehead, occupying the lower central field. Behind and above him, the Spirit of St. Louis monoplane is rendered in dramatic perspective, its nose and engine prominent against a luminous background suggesting clouds and sky. A second smaller depiction of the aircraft appears at lower left. The encircling legend HISTORY OF AMERICA · CHARLES LINDBERGH'S ATLANTIC CROSSING 1927 arcs around the upper border, while the denomination $20 appears in the lower exergue. |

Liberia's early 2000s commemorative program was notorious for licensing arrangements that had little connection to the country itself — coins were designed, struck, and distributed almost entirely by European and American distributors, with Liberia providing legal tender status in exchange for licensing fees. This piece, issued a full 74 years after Lindbergh's 1927 transatlantic crossing, belongs squarely to that commercial era of the series.
KM#650 is one of dozens of celebrity and aviation subjects Liberia issued in this period, many sharing the same 40mm silver planchet specification.
